(New York Post) - A Queens, N.Y., man was sentenced Thursday to 15-years-to-life for killing his wife by stabbing her more than 250 times and then allegedly eating her lungs and drinking her blood, all in front of their four-year-old daughter.

Mohammad Solaiman, who had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, was sentenced Thursday for the gruesome murder of his wife Shahida Sultanna in their Jamaica, Queens, N.Y. home in December 2007.

Their 4-year-old daughter was in the next room at the time of the incident and witnessed the bloody aftermath.

Sultanna's sister, Ferdousi Begum, shuddered and bawled in court Thursday as she begged Solaiman to explain why he killed his wife.

"He took out her liver and her lungs and he ate it," Begum wailed. "He drank her blood. Her daughter told me that."

Solaiman's lawyer John Scarpa "categorically" denied the allegation that Solaiman feasted on his wife's remains.

"He may have killed his wife but he didn't turn into a cannibal," Scarpa said.

He went on to say that Solaiman suffered years of physical abuse at the hands of his wife.

"She was a very violent individual," Scarpa said. "She was not a saintly woman."

Queens Supreme Court Justice Richard Buchter shot back, "Are you saying she deserved what she got?"

"It was a violent outburst under extreme emotional disturbance," Scarpa replied.

Buchter noted that the file on Solaiman, who never said why he killed his wife, contained no evidence the killer was abused at home.

"We do know the defendant stabbed the victim in her face, in her neck, in her torso, in her back and also in her pubic region," Buchter said.

"His final act of savagery was to expose his 4-year-old daughter to the horrific murder scene to view her mother’s mutilated remains," Buchter added.

He didn't eat her.

A Queens man sentenced to 15 years to life Thursday for stabbing his wife 250 times was hit with an unfounded claim that he ate the victim's organs.

The lawyer for Mohammad Solaiman was forced to deny the allegation, which prosecutors also said was untrue.

The sister-in-law of Shadida Sultana blurted out the macabre scenario during an emotional victim-impact statement in Queens Supreme Court.

I can't think of anything I find more disturbing than cannibalism.

How about cannibalism that didn't happen but a Fox affiliate decides to ignore knowledge of that fact and run a story as if it had? That is much more disturbing.

Would you do it if your plane crashed in the mountains and you had to eat the butts of the dead passengers in order to survive?

Would make a great movie aye? Ohh wait nvm.

Colbert gave an excellent example of it last night on his segment over the nomination of Elena Kagan.

In the office today. Can't view.

Of course, no one else is here. Sometimes I wonder why I bother coming in. This whole place is going to hell.

 maybe. plus, with all the layoff rumors swirling (strengthened by news of a number of high-profile unexpected early retirements), people are likely wondering, why bother coming in when it's its sunny and in the mid 70s?

carpe diem. especially when the diem is nice and warm.

For the first time since my wife and I got married, it appears highly possible that both my wife and I will be laid off in the same timeframe. She sees it as a crisis, I think there may be an opportunity.
