I am asking this question for information and wanting affend anyone but we are in to 5 weeks sputnum exam what can we expect and what do we do? Take Care Everyone

The sputum test took 3 days....they have the results within 1-2 days after.

They must have told you it was negative...or they would have begun medication right away.

It sounds as though you are undergoing the culture test now.

According to SLMC doctors it is 8 weeks (I have heard less but SLMC says 8 weeks) for results.

If you have not heard from them after 8 weeks....call them!

If it comes back negative they will complete the balance of the medical and forward to embassy.

If at any time during this 8 week period it will become positive, they will alert you to begin taking medication.

The medication is usually 6 months and you must go to the clinic each day to receive/take your medicine (except weekends).

They want to know you ARE taking it!!!

This is not from my personal experience but from some I know that have been thru it!!!!
