Hi, Hope I am posting this in the right place, just a quick question if somneone can help. When My fiance goes for interveiw, does he TAKE all the original paperwork for the I-129F AND all the original documents for the I-134 or does he SEND them in and take copies in hand?

Our time line

2010-03-02 I-129F Application sent to CSC

2010-03-04 Check cashed

2010-03-05 NOA1 Receipt

2010-03-08 Touched

2010-04-14 NOA2 Received email that our I-129F application was approved

2010-04-20 NOA2 hard copy received, Petition sent to NVC

2010-04-20 NVC sent Petition sent to embassy

2010-04-21 Called NVC and got case number

2010-04-23 Petition received at London Embassy

2010-04-28 Packet 3 letter of instructions from the London Embassy

2010-05-10 Medical appointment scheduled

2010-05-10 Passed medical, embassy will get report by Thursday

2010-06-19 Sent in packet 3

2010-07-07 Received appointment letter

2010-07-23 Interview Day

2010-07-23 Approoved!

2010-08-05 Recieved visa

2010-09-02 POE Arriving Atlanta

Probably should post in K1 section - but if it is like the CR1/IR1 - they have to send originals, and take copies with them.

Married: 01/02/09

I-130 filed: 11/06/09

NOA1: 11/13/09

NOA2: 02/11/10

NVC received: 02/18/10

Case complete @ NVC: 04/14/10

Interview @ Montreal: 07/13/10 - Approved

POE: Sweetgrass, MT, 08/07/10

Filed for ROC: 07/20/12

Biometrics appt: 08/24/12

Always send copies (unless specifically asked for) and take originals with you.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
