What happens if you lose your long form birth certificate?

You do what I did. You order a certified copy from your states vital records division. What I got back from Trenton was interesting in light of this controversy. It has a doctors signature on it but its also titled a "certificate of live birth".

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

I guess the point here is to not let the reality get in the way of a good story.

It's hilarious that there are people here who cannot accept that Obama won the election and are hanging all their hopes on him being found "illegitimate" before the end of his term.

Idiots.

I ordered certified copies in the past too because my original BC is a flimsy piece of paper. You'd think I was 100 with the condition it's in. During the immigration process I ordered the copies from NYC so I wouldn't have to worry about ruining the original - but not all the information is on it that was on my original.

Some things I don't understand about the Obama birth certificate conspiracy:

I heard there were statements in two Hawaiian newspapers that reported births, and Obama's birth was recorded in those. Also, what would be the point of such a long term deception? As if this was all a master plan to get a non natural born citizen into office. It's well known that Obama had virtually no relationship with his father, and I wonder when his mom was supposed by the "birthers" to have gone to Kenya before he was born.

Besides the generalization about "McCain's people", lumping them all together in a link I am going to post, I think it says much better what I am trying to say. I voted for McCain and I also DO believe Obama was born in Hawaii. The linked article was actually written before the 2008 elections, but still fits in.

By the way, the article shows the two newspapers, scanned and pointed out where it says a boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Barack Obama.

I get the point some make that births were recorded in papers no matter where the birth occurred but the rest is silliness promoted by people who have a hard time with reality. However I don't think they would give a HI street address for a birth occurring overseas.
