It's been 2 weeks since i sent DS230 form to NVC. All the documents are original and if they lost some of the documents can take a good month to replace. they have not recorded the Documents as received. Has anyone had a similar experience with NVC? I am very worried....

Did you use delivery confirmation or signature confirmation? It took them a week from when they signed until the NVC said they received mine, then another week for them to review my documents.

Form DS-2001 is no longer used, only the DS-230 is sent to the NVC.

If you are going through the NVC, then the DS-2001 is not to be sent in by you. The NVC will sent the case to Addis Ababa as soon as they've finished collating your documents (DS-230/I-864) and they will include a DS-2001 themselves. And you will receive an appointment letter containing the date and time of your visa interview.

Once you create a timeline for elsabet timeline make sure to update it as your case progresses.

What does the checklist say? Is it urging you to send the DS-230 packet? If so, there was probably a disconnect somewhere. They got the mail, but because they keep it in their mail room for a few days, the operators did not know about this and sent you a checklist for the DS-230 packet.

Yes its asking me to send DS-230...so know what do i have to do for them to know that the documents maybe in the mailroon? when i tell them about it they keep saying send the DS-230

HOW did you send it? and, did you send it from INSIDE the USA, or from Eithiopia ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I feel your pains. I mailed on May 8th and they recieved & signed on May 12th. I called them and no new AVR updates..so I guess RFE checklist is not into system yet.

I called today and now my sons document were found but my wifes case still pending..the lady i talked to was a nice one just told me now that we know that we have the documents as they were in the same envelope we just need to give them time to review the 1-864w for your son and the other documents will be found.I guess i will give them upto monday and call them again
