biometrics ... aos appointment... ??

Heyyo! I'm a long way off from this step, but I'm trying to workout a flowchart of things that will have to be done if/once I get my visa and move to the US to get married (K1). I understand the application for AOS, EAD, and AP, but a term I see being tossed around is "biometrics appointment." Is this the same as the AOS interview appointment, or another step entirely? If another step, what does biometrics entail? I tried looking around to find the answer, really sorry if it's around here somewhere and I just missed it. Thanks so much!

Biometrics is your photograph and fingerprinting.

It is scheduled sometime after your receipt notice (NOA1).

Its extremely short... you go in and they do your prints electronically (like at the consulates) and take a photo of you. That's it.

The fee for biometrics is $70 and you pay along with the other fees for AOS (AOS/EAD/AP).

If you file them all together, then you only need to pay once.

Yes it is 2 different process biometric and interview.they will take your picture and that picture taken from your biometric will appear in your green card.

Make sure you don't have any cuts on your fingers for they might reschedule your biometrics. Having cuts in your fingers would find hard time to scan your fingers for fingerprinting.
