Going to the interview tomorrow!

What to wear for the AOS interview based on marriage? Is a business suit too "formal"? Is jeans too casual? My husband said he is just gonna wear normal clothes(polo shirt, shorts, shoes not flip flops) Does this sound ok?

What did you wear for the interview?

My husband wore Khakis, a polo shirt and running shoes.

I wore a nice dress shirt, shoes and jeans (I dont have any dress pants.)

I think you can never go wrong in situations like this with business casual - slacks/skirt, nice button down or blouse, etc. I would think a suit is probably not necessary.

Good luck on your AOS interview tomorrow! Hope everything goes well. We had our AOS interview this past January & it went super well, THANK GOD FOR EVERYTHING! :) Yours will go well too! As far as our clothing, well we wore like what you would wear to church or to a wedding. My husband wore a long-sleeved shirt with a tie & slacks with dressy black shoes. (No suit though) I wore a very simple skirt (mid-calf length) & a nice blouse. In my opinion I feel more comfortable dressing the way you would for a job interview. I know that not everyone cares about their dress attire for that day, but we certainly did because it was a VERY IMPORTANT day for us. It's honestly up to you. :) I've never heard of them denying someone based on their clothing. I've heard of people getting approved with regular jeans & stuff, but I've also heard of others who were frowned upon because of their clothing. Either way, just wear what you want. Just make sure you all have ALL your paperwork in order. The more evidence you have to prove that your marriage is real, the better it is for your case. Go over the practice questions that are found here on VisaJourney. They are very good, & although we didn't need them for our interview, they have asked those same questions to other people on their interview. Good luck & may God be with you both tomorrow. :) You all will do just fine. ;)

Just dress appropriately, dress pants are fine, so are jeans as long as they aren't falling off or full of holes, etc.

Good luck at the interview!!!
