Hi guys,

Finally after 6 months my case is complete. Actually after 3 years since I had to become a USC to petition them. Now the question is how does it take for them to schedule the interview? I'm dying here... I'm actually in Peru waiting so I can bring my girls (wife and daughter) home. I've been told by them we didn't make May but they say they are not sure if June is possibility. I've been on borrow time from my employer and I really need to get back home. If anyone can help me that will be great, at least to ease my anxiety.

Thanks.

Congratulations! If your consulate is not a particularly busy one then late June/July would be reasonable to expect. Let us know when you hear. Good luck!

Congratulations on your case being completed.

I called NVC on Tuesday, May 11th and they said they are scheduling interviews this week for June 2010 (if the embassy is not very busy).

I asked what if the embassy is busy....they said then interview will be in July.

All you can do now is wait.

Congratulations on case complete. Getting an interview is depends on how busy your embassy is. If its not so crowded it is possible you will get an interview for end of June or beginning of July.

I am hoping my wife gets June. Poland should not be that busy  .

How long does it usually take between "Case Complete" to receiving interview date? I do not buy into their 8 week stuff.

Thanks everyone, so if the interview does not get schedule this week it will not be schedule until the second week in June? for a July date?

Not necessarily. NVC will say that interviews are only scheduled the second week of the month but many (myself included) have received interview dates into the third and last week of the month. I received notification of our May interview date end of March. We called NVC every 2 - 3 days to check. Good luck!

OBX......the person I spoke with at NVC (yeah I know they may not know what they are talking about).....anyway....the person I spoke with indicated that the NVC does the "scheduling" in the second week of the month.....the interview itself can be at any time during the month.

Do not know if this operator "knows" or not....but it makes sense then....

I spoke with them on May 11th....and got an email on May 12th (second week of the month) for a June 15th interview...

They told us the same thing last year! Even though we were not scheduled during the second week of March we kept calling just in case. The last week of the month we called late on a Thursday night and were told ..NO interview...then the very next morning I had an e-mail from NVC with my interview date.

Congratulations JorgeP. Good luck!
