My wife and I are traveling to Albania with UK being our layover. I am a US citizen while my wife has a green card. My question is in regards to any possible visa requirements in UK. We are changing airports in UK from Heathrow to Gatwick. Will she need any transit visa? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I-30 JOURNEY

5-21-2008: NOA1

12-18-2008: NOA2

12-29-2008: NVC received Case/Case # assigned

1-5-2009: DS-3032/AOS Fee Bill Generateed

1-8-2009: Emailed DS-3032

1-12-2009: Paid AOS Bill

1-13-2009: AOS shows PAID

1-13-2009: DS-3032 Accepted

1-13-2009: IV Bill Generated

1-13-2009: IV Bill Paid

1-14-2009: IV Bill shows PAID

1-20-2009: Sent AOS Packet

1-21-2009: Sent IV Packet

1-23-2009: NVC scanned both AOS/IV

1-29-2009: CASE COMPLETE

3-02-2009: First Medical

3-09-2009: Second Medical (Albania requires 2)

3-11-2009: INTERVIEW (PASSED!!!)

3-13-2009: Received VISA!!!

Yes, your wife will need a transit visa for the layover. Here is a link of all the countries the UK requires the citizens of that country to apply for a visa for entry: http://www.ukvisas.g...sadatvnationals

02.26.10 - Sent reply to RFE for I 693 to Lee's Summit and sent letter to senator (day 18)

03.01.10 - Delivery confirmation for RFE by Lee's summit and senator

03.04.10 - Status update: Case has resumed; letter from senator stating case is with adjunctor(day 24 )

03.08.10 - AOS application transferred to CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER... No updates on EAD or AP (day 28)

03.13.10 - touch on 485/ 3.15.10 - touch on 485/ 3.16.10 - touch on 485/ 3.17.10 - touch on 485!!! (day 37)

03.29.10 - Day 49 from notice date of NOA.... day 58 from filing

04.06.10 - AP approved and EAD card production ordered!!! (Day 56)

04.13.10 - EAD approval notice online and card in the mail

So if there was no change in airport, and my husband(Albanian passport/CR1 spouse stamp) stayed within Heathrow on his layover to the US, no UK visa is required, correct?

USCIS (122 days)

09-25-09 : NOA1 I-130

10-05-09 : NOA1 I-129

01-25-10 : NOA2 I-130/I129 Text & email

NVC (62 days)

01-29-10 : NVC case number assigned via AVR

04-01-10 : SIGN IN FAILED WAHOoooo!!!

05-27-10 : Interview....visa Approved!!!

06-02-10 : Picked up Visa at Embassy

06-04-10 : POE NYC...no delays or problems.

Removing Conditions

3/30/12 I-751 filed and sent to USCIS CA Service Center

4/3/12 NOA1

5/30/12 Biometrics completed Santa Rosa, CA early walk-in without problem

10/11/12 Green Card approved

10/17/12 Green Card received

Just wanted to add that my wife just received a visitor visa to the UK. We are traveling in June, and she is a green card holder traveling under a Ukrainian passport. We had zero problems, and did all by mail. The Worldbridge application process online was easy, and fairly clear.
