hi all,

I don't know what I am going to do. I don't know if I can help my husband with evidence I mean I have 2 months worth of emails, we mostly text that's about it, but our phone companies don't have the ability to give us a history of them at all and even the call records. I only have one month of them, they cant go back to previous months He has a couple of letters and post cards that I sent him. We also have the pictures from our party. I didnt stay there for too long. I mean we talk every day, text message every minute of every day, he has over 3000 messages saved on his phone.I mean I don't know what else we need and I don't even know if that will be too little evidence or not. Any suggestions or comments? Please help me :(

Based on your timeline it seems like you are asking what type of evidence he should take to his interview in June? What kinds of evidence did you send with your original petition? My husband took lots of photographs with him and copies of all our original applications and submissions in a three ring binder. The photographs were "evidence" but the copies were just incase anything has been misplaced in route from NVC to the embassy and they needed to see something more.

If you have emails, call records/phone bills, and snail mail evidence from the time since your last visit through the interview that could be something helpful to prove your continued contact since you left Jordan.

I would spend less time worrying about evidence, as you've already been approved through USCIS and NVC and more time going over interview questions and scenarios with him. Prepare him for all the possible questions they make asks (there are several lists already complied on VJ and you can find others by searching google) If you have any special situations that you think would raise red flags, go over potential questions they will ask about those (differences in age, religion, previous marriages, etc) and what his answers to each question will be.

Good luck!

I suggest gathering affidavits of bonafide marriage from friends and family also....both his and yours. Do you have boarding passes or receipts from your visits?

Before I moved to the US, almost the only means of keeping contact with my husband were Yahoo and MSN text messaging on our cellphones. We text-messaged at least 10 hours every day. When we came to the consulate stage my husband forwarded all our text messages and saved Yahoo and MSN conversation to his email using his cellphone. Then we printed the forwarded emails that showed the content and dates of the text messages and conversations. Not sure if that is available on your cellphone or not, but it worked for us. Anyway, the CO did not look at any of our evidence except the pictures. Just do your best and let him take as much evidence as he can, the CO will most probably not look at it..but still he should be prepared.

Good luck!

yes i do have the boarding passes

If you already have a NOA2 and an interview date, then you must be having boarding passes....all filers here do :)...

You need evidence of an ONGOING RELATIONSHIP.. All the mentioned in the above posts.. Collect as much as you can. Please, do not risk the interview chance by lacking evidence. The CO might not even look at any, but it is ALWAYS good that he takes as much evidence as he can, especially pictures...

Hi Amuna,

When I went with my fiancé' for the interview in Jordan, I was told by Nahda office to take the full album of pictures ( 100 ) and all chats and emails for the past 3 years with me, but not to give it to CO but rather just keep it on side of table during interview.

During interview the CO did not look at any of it, he just looked at pictures we had with the application we sent which been like 10.

When we got into the room for interview, I wanted to take my trench coat off (cause were nice dress) and my fiancé helped me with removing it and place it on a chair, so not sure if that showed something to CO, but he was watching.

Then when CO told us we need additional process, my smile went away, and my fiancé hold my hand and said it is OK

I think the evidence does not count for a lot.. it is more how serious both parties are

This might sound weird, but... if your main contact is text messaging, start taking pictures of the messages on your phone before you delete them. It might take several pictures to show the whole message, who sent it and when...

Best of luck!

Amman did not want to see anything we had except pics of the wedding party with family. Of course, we did come prepared with screenshots of daily yahoo chats, pages and pages of emails, some phone records(not as strong as the chats and emails) as we used phone cards and texted. We had a boatload of evidence that they didnt even looka t, but its better to be overprepared of course!

Did he register your marriage in his family book? I think that is strong evidence althought the officer had no desire to see it with us.

I always sound like a broken record, but our experience with Amman was they want pics that show you are "matched" and that the family approves...IE- they are in the pics with you.

Good Luck on the upcoming interview :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
