Okay so I was just going through the sample I-765(EAD) form. There is this question where they ask the last date of entry into the US.So is it the first time I ever entered the US 3 years back ?Or the most recent one?I know it makes it clear by saying last, but just wanted to confirm anyway.

And we need to ideally fill those forms with the new name ,if someone has infact had a name change after marriage, right?

Good luck! Let us know whether you will be going down the civil surgeon vaccination transcription route or not.

Your last entry to the US will be june 28th, cos you are supposed to fill those papers "after" coming to the US and get married ;)

and yes, you should fill these forms with your "after marriage" family name

Good luck! Let us know whether you will be going down the civil surgeon vaccination transcription route or not.

so if I understand well , I could just send the copy of the DS-3025 – Vaccination record that I got on my K1 visa medicals? I read that some surgeon in SC charge 400$, and in charlotte NC only 25$, or is it the Oreo sandwich that is waiting for me since 2 hours now in the freezer that is making me understand things weirdly :bonk:

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, me need break lol

Read my post # 12 on this thread. Some people are just submitting the DS-3025 without civil surgeon transcription and getting approved. I think it's worth doing, cos there is a chance they accept them, if they don't, you just get an RFE and have to submit a transcription. And if you are going down the transcription route, you have to call round and find a civil surgeon who understands the requirements, won't insist on giving you the vaccinations again, and ripping you off.

I'm gonna take the chance, I won't mind getting the RFE if that's how it turns out.

Think of all the Oreo's you could buy with the $400 saved!

Re: the DS-3025

We sent ours without having it transcribed. Luckily, Ewan got two "official" copies with the stamp and raised seal, so we sent one of those. I also read somewhere that it should be fine if the box at the bottom with "all vaccinations complete" or language like that is ticked. Ewan's was. So far we haven't had an RFE! We'll keep you updated!

We did biometrics for the AoS and EAD today. It was a bit of an ordeal. We left the house with two hours before the appt time, but due to the rush hour, and trying to find this place I'd never been, it took an hour to get there (and it's only about 12 miles from our house!) Luckily, there was ample free parking on site, but there wasn't enough space in the waiting room, so I had to wait outside the building for an hour while Ewan waited in the disorganized line to get his fingerprints and photo taken. Neither of us were impressed with the service (they were pretty rude) or the way the Miami ASC (application support center) was run. BUT the good news is: Our AoS application was transferred to the CSC for processing, so hopefully we won't have to trek back there for an interview!

well, I guess I'll submit the DS-3025 too. but I only have a copy of the it (given on the medicals). An RFE doesn't really matter at this stage, cause I'm already here, so I don't really care if it takes 2 more weeks.

Oreo's :Q_ _ _ lol

yay Megan, I hope all goes quick and Ewan can finally go get a job instead of slacking all day at home , lol, I'm being meanie as usual lol, I'm joking ;)

Girls, question :

The AoS form cost 1.010$, the EaD costs 340$ :crying:

According to this thread, if the AoS is approved, the EAD is useless.

Megan, did you file for both? or just AoS?

I donno if I should apply for both or not , 340$ means more Oreo Ice cream for me

If you file for EAD and AP at the same time as your AOS, you don't have to pay the extra. It's 'just' $1010 straight up.

The one sensible decision I've seen the US government make so far!! ;)

PS booked for my boy to come see me in August :D VERY poor but VERY excited :D:D:D

It's just as the lovely Jess said. That $340 is waived if you file the EAD at the same time as AoS. The reason for filing them concurrently is that often, the EAD will be approved before the green card, so you can start working while the AoS is still pending.

Ewan is watching his homeland being defeated at football right now (see what I did there?! I called it "football" instead of "soccer"!). Poor dear. That's why we're going to drink bloody marys for the match against Italy...
