America By Heart: Reflections on Faith, Family, and Flag

Sarah Palin (See All Contributors)

Hardcover

HarperCollins

November 23, 2010

About the Book:

In the fall of 2009, with the publication of her #1 national bestselling memoir, Sarah Palin had the privilege of meeting thousands of everyday Americans on her extraordinary 35-city book tour. Inspired by these encounters, her new book, America by Heart celebrates the values that have made this country what it is today.

Framed by her strong belief in the importance of family, faith, and patriotism, the book ranges widely over American history, culture, and current affairs, and reflects on the key values—both national and spiritual—that have been such a profound part of Governor Palin's life and continue to inform her vision of America's future. Written in her own refreshingly candid voice, America by Heart will include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her—from the nation's founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography, and even some of her favorite songs and movies. Here, too, are portraits of some of the extraordinary men and women she admires and who embody her deep love of country, her strong rootedness in faith, and her profound love and appreciation of family. She will also draw from personal experience to amplify these timely (and timeless) themes—themes that are sure to inspire her numerous fans and readers all across the country.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

I refuse to purchase books written by politicians or former politicians. After all, we have contributed to their salaries all our lives and I have no intention of contributing to their private or personal funds in addition

Does anyone else find it suspicious that someone who probably isn't capable of reading "Goodnight Moon" has already written 2 books? I smell a ghostwriter.

As for myself, I am glad we live in a country where untalented people can make a fortune wiritng books. It is generally a good sign for all of us.

They are ghostwritten. Her last book was a joke. Every conservative magazine was giving them away if you subscribed, or renewed your subscription. The neighborhood that I live in is very conservative and I saw many bookstores selling the book for $3-$5 as a promotional campaign.

buy the book .... read it ... give us all a report to tell us first hand its worth ....

If I was REALLY bored and up for a laugh, I might consider stealing it. But pay for it? Nah.

you would be a thief hero ... and not simply borrow from the local library? :o

fixed!

I never thought about renting it. I suppose I could do that though. Again, I'd have to be really bored and down to pick up that book.
