I don't see anywhere on the forms saying that 3 years of tax returns is required, but everybody saying they are required at interview.

for those people who didn't do enough research and prepare the tax returns wouldn't they fall straight into traps?

GUZ is a bit different - they 'like' to see 3 years.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes, please keep in mind that different countries will have different "expectations" on the K1 applicant and his/her SO. Since unfortunately China is a high-fraud suspect country, the burden of proof is significantly more than other countries (while anecdotes suggest not the worst). Most of us requested tax transcripts from the IRS, which are free and take about 2 weeks to receive in the mail. Since you already have NOA2 I would get these ordered ASAP and then mailed out (unless you plan to be in at GUZ for interview day). Good luck!

thanks for the reply guys.

I ordered tax transcripts couple days ago. but tax year 2009 is not available for order yet for some reason... IRS people ask me try order again later this month.

i'm currently being overwhelmed by information, under a lot of stress and miss my fiancee badly, make me can't think straight.

i have and will have more stupid questions in the coming months hope you guys don't mind giving me some answers.

now comes one.

I didn't make enough money in 2007 and 2008, i'll have my mom to be the co-sponsor, she owns serveral houses. when she fill out the i-134 form, she needs to put the address of the houses on the form, but that field on the form is not big enough, should she attach a seperate paper for that?

Did you make enough in 2009? Do you make enough now? If so, 07 and 08 don't really matter. You can add extra sheets to any form. Just refer to the form on the sheet and to the sheet on the form.

thanks for your reply.

yes I do, but they might think it's not enough because i'm self-employed, future income can vary. so to be safe i have my mom as co-sponsor.

btw, should my mom and me submit house certificates?

one more question, for the supporting evidence, do they need original or photocopy?

say the statement of employer, do I need to ask employer to write multiple same statements or i can just get one statment and then make photocopies off it?

I know at the end of i-134 form it says copies will be used, but is that true for GUZ?

if 'employer' , for any verification stuff (like verification of job )- a letter on company letterhead is OK , signed by some company official or owner (depending on the size of the firm). I don't know any need for copies of a 'employment letter', except for yer own files - show the original with the I-134, on interview day.

Your answers are inconsistent. If self-employed, you wouldn't have an employer letter. If your line 22 on the 2009 tax return is sufficient income, you don't need a co-sponsor but it won't hurt to have one just in case. Present any employer letter with the original signature on company letterhead.

Adding another question on I-134. I am pretty certain my income, saving and stock should be sufficient to meet financial requirements. I have a primary residence and rental house. The space on the form only allows to put one address. Can I just list my primary residence / mortgage equity and avoid using attachments to list both properties?

Thanks,

Rob

The IRS will even fax the transcripts to you, real-time, if you call them and ask. You just need to be in physical proximity of the receiving fax machine, because of the sensitive nature of the information. They will ask you about this.

I was able to request my 2009 returns in mid-March, but I filed in February. When did you file your taxes? I seem to recall them telling me that it took awhile for them to become available in the system.

My 2009 taxes got filed late February. However, I also filed a (very minor) amendment to my taxes in mid March. I'm worried that this will cause a set-back in record logging.

In the event that my 2009 taxes are not listed in the transcript, how should I proceed? Will the W2 and copies of my electronic filing suffice?

yah, if you can't get the transcript before the interview then you got to use the print outs, I'm sure the VO will understand if you explain.
