This evening when I tried to log into the USCIS website to check for any activity I was not able to log in and I got the following message

"It was reported to us that your computer or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use. If you feel this has occurred incorrectly, please contact the Customer Service Center for assistance at 1.800.375.5283."

Has anyone else every had this happen to them? I do log in once or twice every day just to check for touches or other activity but I never expected to get locked out.

Same thing happened to me earlier tonight, then I went to the store and I got a text. On May 11, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). I rushed home to check it out and was still locked out so I called the number and confirmed it through the recording and the email. Of all the days for this to happen. Thank God they have the text and email. Venus and I are so happy!

I have been getting the same error since 11-MAY-2010. At first I really did think I was checking the status of my case way too much. Surely I don't need to check it every couple of hours. But I have been for whatever tranquility it provides to me. You know what would be wonderful: When the site comes back, the status of my case changes from "Initial Review" to "Approved." Now that would be a feat (which won't happen.) I can dream, can't it?
