Who exactly is targeting Japanese grandmothers or any other random group? That is right, no one. People who engage in anti-terrorist surveillance are perfectly capable of making very sensible judgments about people who COME INTO THEIR SIGHTS, to think that libruls in government are preventing the FBI or whoever from stopping these events from happening because of their political correctness is just bullcrap.

No it's not madam Cleo, as it's the same deal with interrogation. The cleo ilk disagrees with every and any proactive measure to prevent terror but fails (epically) to formulate methods of prevention of your own. Come to think of it, same deal with illegal aliens or the war on drugs actually.

Japanese grandmothers are an example. Why should they too be targeted for extra scrutiny when not one of the perpetrators was of Japanese decent? Furthermore, ignoring that the beliefs and country of origin of those responsible are similar. While you may not value your life in the name of being PC, I don't share this view. Had it been my own countrymen doing this #######, I'd be the one saying throw the #### under the bus until you find them.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I can't stop bad stuff happening BY, and funnily enough, nor can you. However, I don't want those who have nothing to do with terrorism who 'look' middleastern to be inconvenienced for some feel good ego trip you're on.

True, however, the difference is that lib minded, yes libs, want to put their head in the sand and hope the problem goes away. Then only to turn around and claim the war failed. After all, it's what they did with drugs in this country. Strange how neither drug use nor distribution is anywhere near as bad in any other first world country.

Nothing feel good about it actually. The majority of these people are from x countries; therefore, the same x countries should be scrutinized the most.

They are not targeted for extra scrutiny. However, random checks are random checks. That's how it goes. You do know that some people are used by terrorists without even knowing that they are being used? That's not uncommon.

You may well want to abdicate your civil liberties (not that you have a clue what that really means in day to day terms mind you) but most people certainly would not, nor should they be required to for some idiotic notion that by removing the liberties of everyone in a certain demographic you can magically prevent tragic events. I know from personal experience what is it like to live in society that has to deal with terrorism on a daily basis, and I can assure you that simply removing the civil liberties from anyone 'fitting the profile' is idiotic.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

"That's how it goes." Let me get this straight. In the mind of Cleo, you think it's rational to screen Japanese grandmothers or kids in wheelchairs in the name of being PC. While the perpetrators get to hide under various anti-profiling laws and ACLU rhetoric.

I do love it how the argument of those against such proactive measures, like illegal aliens having their id's checked, is based around imaginary what-ifs. That is, the worst case scenario.

Evidently, in your opinion, the collateral damage of losing a few thousand every now and is worth it. That is, rather than have a Nigerian male go through extra screening. That would just be wrong wrong wrong.

I don't know what you think I am saying but your response leads me to believe that you have no clue, you generally get hold of the wrong end of the stick and run around with it with your tail wagging for days, why should this be any different?

Rush Limbaugh making the challenge since he knows how much Media Matters is obsessed with him as well as other liberal blogs.

Rush Limbaugh said today: "quote me. The reason why they don't want us to use racial profiling is because it works."

Limbaugh goes on to speak about how you don't see the 75 year old grandmother pulling into Times Square to drop off a bomb, you don't see white men with bombs in their sneakers, etc...

eh, thought i'd post it before some liberal blog does tomorrow, lol....

Is there a profile out there for stupid white men on the radio?

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

What are you implying? That they are dumb yet the rest are smart.

I didn't know you were that slow on the uptake. I think it's fairly clear what he meant.

Yeah that must be it. More like I cut out what I really said, as it violated every rule in the TOS.
