Medical at Medisys, MTL - Review

Hello everybody!!! I got my medical this morning at Medisys, i think my Dr. was Alain Dubois, something like that. It was very easy and everybody there is super nice. My appointment was at 9am, but since i was driving from my city, i wanted to leave very early to be sure, the clinic opens at 7am. So here it goes:

4:50am: i wake up

5:25: leave home (Sherbrooke), get some Tim Hortons for the road

7:00: in MTL, i'm in the traffic, of course!!!

7:30: i find Medisys and the parking (parking on City Consullors street, 16$/day)

7:50: After having troubles finding the clinic in the Lotto-Québec building, i finally get there. There's only about 5 people in the waiting room. They made a copy of my appointment letter (P4) with the MTL case number, of my passport, they took my pictures (i went to the shopping center, took them in a picture machine, for 4$. The important is that they are in color and with a white background, no need to pay big money for these pics!), and they also took my vaccination booklet (only that was enough to proove i had all the vaccins)

7:55: i'm done filling the papers, i sit down

8:05: Blood sample, the lady is very nice, it's painless. She ask a few questions

8:10: I sit down in the waiting room

8:20: Physical exam + medical history with the Dr. Very easy, since i don't take any medication, i don't have any disease, it was pretty fast and simple. He didn't even perform a breast and genital exam, it was VERY basic!

8:25: sitting down in the waiting room again

8:50: Xrays! only 2 images, for the lungs. Very fast and simple again.

8:55: i'm in the waiting room again.

10:05: Now there's like 15-20 people in the waiting room. I'm wondering what's going on, why is it taking sooo long before i can pay and leave?? So i go to the front desk, ask the guy what's going on, he looks for my file, and he doesn't find it... So i have to sit down again so he can find it.

10:25: Finally!! Time to pay: 213$. I ask: can you mail the results to me? No.... Ok so i'll have to go back in MTL again just to get the results! It will be ready in 3 days.

10:35: i'm in the car

12:10: i'm homeeee!!!

So as i said, it was very easy, painless and simple. 213$ since i didn't need any other vaccins. Everything was done in 2:30 hours. I even got there at 8am instead of 9 and they started all the tests at 8.

Hope my review is helpful!

Awesome review! So helpful!

So I guess they said that you were 'ok' for the medical then? No news is good news sort of thing or did you actually ask them if you passed?

My appointment in at 11:00, hopefully it'll go as quick as yours!!!

Thank you again for posting this! Seems like it goes pretty smooth overall!

Congratulations and good luck on the next step!!!

Thanks!

I didn't ask anything, but after the physical exam, the doctor said everything was ok. So i guess if they find anything they'll call me (blood sample and Xrays take a little more time to be evaluated). If no news, i guess everything will be ok for the interview ;)
