When I was a kid I used to take Nutella on bread for lunch.

The teacher wrote a note to my mom telling her I shouldn't have it anymore...but for reasons other that "school policy" :devil:

Bake sales are a crock of poo now. In my day, we all baked our own cakes - for better or worse. Now you can't do that, it's all stuff out of stores. What's the point?

If it's not FDA approved, then it's not allowed.

I mean all these mean parents are going to go out and purposefully poison everyone's kids.

They are so worried about nut allergies nowadays in schools. No one in my school had them, where and when I grew up, but now it seems like a high % of kids are allergic.

I didn't go to public school so maybe my perspective is a bit off, but I always brought my own lunches and no one really had a say in what I could eat other than my mother. My lunch was typically a turkey or pastrami sandwich, a bag of potato chips, a cupcake (I liked carrot cake or angel food cake mostly) or similar and a can of juice. The only thing they regulated was that I couldn't take medication. I had to take it to the nurse if I had any first thing in the morning.

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008
