Tomorrow is the 8th anniversary of the day I got a second-chance at life. I had a very bad and horrible surgery, blah blah blah...anyways, I quit smoking on that day, but fell off the wagon 11 months later :crying:

I have quit a couple of times since, but nothing stuck...so tomorrow is it! I've decided! I actually love smoking (I know that's a problem right there), but I want to be as healthy as I can be....so I've decided to symbolically start on the anniversary of the day I got my new lease on life....I suppose I'm looking for another one...this one smoke-free.

I am sure it's going to be horrible...I become a raging biyotch whever I try to quit...D says he's actually glad he's not here, hahah.

anyways, WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and on that note, I'm popping downstairs for a smoke...irony, heh

Well, they always tell you that if you start again just keep trying. I must of tried a million times and even did quit for 7 years once and about 9 months another time. Well, I think I have finally made it, I haven't smoked for almost two years so if I can do it (I am a weak fish) I know you can too! Good luck, I wish you the best and understand how difficult it is.

Thanks everyone, I'll need every bit of it! :P

As most of you know, they barred smoking in public places in England. As a result, there's a lot of smoking related stuff in the news there...D was reading in the paper either today or yesterday.....and they had some info about a quitting technique. Supposedly, if you take a big drag every 6 seconds for 5 minutes, you will be so ill that your brain will equate that horrible feeling with cigarettes, and you don't want to ever smoke again. The paper said it wasn't a proven method, and there's a lot of disagreement over this kind of aversion therapy, but I think I might just give it a go tonite :/

Will let you guys know how it works!

Morning Guys!

So I did the aversion technique...only got to about 3 minutes...couldn't do it any further. I was feeling like utter #######, coughing, choking, felt like I was gonna puke, and I got really dizzy.

This morning I still wanted a cig. Heh. :crying:

One hour at a time!

(F) Good luck (F) from another proud quitter...5 years and 2 months smoke free! I was a heavy smoker and I loved smoking, so believe me when I say that if I could quit, then anyone really can. :P No regrets or urges ever, it feels too good to be free from that slavery  , you couldn't pay me to go back.
