Hi, i just received interview letter today for my AOS. I didn't include the I-693 on my AOS application, i just mailed it with DS-3025. I did not get any RFE. But, my question is.. on the letter it says i have to bring a complete medical examination (I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)

So, it means i still need to go to a civil surgeon for my I-693 to bring for my interview??

I'm confused

:help:

As DainandVicky answered - YES. I received the NOA for the interview, and one of the things in the checklist included in the NOA was the I-693 (if not already submitted). So I would say you have to go get the I-693. It won't be too much of a hassle if you have your vacc records ready for the civil surgeon to transcribe, or else it would take 2-3 days to get the medical exam completed, because of the TB test. :)

I'm confused. Please explain the above. You didn't include it but you mailed it? Mailed what where?

If your vaccines were complete and documented as complete on the DS3025 you sent in, then there is no need whatsoever for the I-693.

If your vaccines weren't complete you should have gotten an RFE by now, and since you haven't, I'd wait until the interview. If you are deficient, then they will give you an RFE at that time.

So, I think you should hold off on the whole CS game until you are sure that you need it.

They do not in any way personalize that checklist, so don't try to read anything into it. Everyone gets the same thing.

Agree with Heather. I'd hold off and see what happens, then go pay a CS if necessary.

But, I'm just wondering why i didn't get any RFE?

Hi, thank you for the reply :)

So, i need to go to a CS?

We tried to look for a civil surgeon yesterday, but they don't want to transcribe my vacc record. They want to do the whole medical :(

If it's not easy, I would just go to the interview without the I-693 and have them ask you for it (or not)

It IS more of a gamble, but given our experience, I don't think it is a very risky proposition. So you MIGHT have to go get it transcribed and have your GC delayed for another couple of days while you do that.

Didn't see your post while I was writing mine.

Well you have your solution then, take the Td vaccine and have them transcribe everything on your I-693.

You're adjusting from a K1 visa right?

You had a full medical for the K1 visa and it's valid 1 year.

So if your medical is still valid you do not need a new one.

And there is no need to transcribe it as is already in your file.
