I discovered one in near me in the suburbs. I dropped off food for it and never told anyone there was a coyote around. I never saw it again, however.

Man has been expanding into their areas and hunting their food supplies or altering the environment so that the animals that they feed on are no longer around. Grey wolf populations directly relate to Coyote populations. We killed the wolves and because of that, Coyote populations have increased.

Better still, let's get some Kodiak Grizzlies and Siberian Tigers since they are the largest of the land predators, that shold solve the problem. I wonder if the cattlemen will go along with that. Seriously? This is the problem with OT, people get all bent of shape over stupid things. All I'm saying is that we should take steps to fix what we damaged. We killed the wolves and the bears, and now smaller predators go unchecked. We should help restore balance by reintroducing native species.
