so does all the money those offended have. they should send all that offensive material to someone else not offended.

You are correct and every single coin and bill should be replace after its removed.

Our founding fathers were very much aware of the need to keep the government from even appearing to support one religion over another.

compeltely absurd reasoning, but probably what they were thinking.

The "seperation of church and state" argument is exactly what allows this girl to draw the picture as see fits.

You are correct. BUT, not in a public school. Not anywhere that is supported by federal funding.

Whats your point??

This link clearly showes the foolishness of people when it comes to religion.

"The motto IN GOD WE TRUST was placed on United States coins largely because of the increased religious sentiment existing during the Civil War."

As far as the govenment is concerned, religious sentiment simply can not be allowed to govern decision making.

Yes, that was the point.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Why? What was the context of the separation? Funny how anti-religion folks seem to ignore this concept. Hint: it wasn't because of the 0.1% of the population that were atheist.

The concept of context must not be taught in schools here.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

For starters, not all schools are supported by Federal funding. Many are supported by local property taxes only.

Second, there is no 'law' that states full seperation of church and state and no law that prevents an individual from expressing his/her feelings about religion in a certain area.

Government cannot set a standard religion or any laws regarding such. No one said that religious observances cannot take place by individuals though.

Religion? Science is not religion. Talk about idiotic. All this mumbo jumbo ####### about GW being a 'religion', under the umbrella of the 'green' religion and all in order to confuse and subvert the real debates. Moronic.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

If you really want to get into it, it is.

Scientific 'facts' are proven wrong/changed as time goes on and we learn more and more. There's a 'belief' in one's findings that something IS what is IS, but at the same time there are those who are always out to expand/disprove one's own alleged 'facts' with their own with a more conclusive study.

I look at science as a religion that tries to prove itself, where spirtual relgion is one that you just 'feel' in your heart.

Exactly, religion is about spirituality. It's not about the explaining the hows and whys. People disingenuously and erroneously (on both sides) take Genesis for example and try to make a point using it.
