jackc - it's my understanding, for a K-1 - it all goes into the sealed 'do not open' envelope that yer fiance receives back via EMS.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks for the info -- I hope that's the case! Do you think that the documents the beneficiary brings with him/her to the interview, such as the police clearance, certificate of no marriage, and a birth certificate, will also be in that envelope? Or only the documents that were forwarded to the embassy from the NVC after the petition process?

I think they are talking about the large brown/yellow envelope the Alien Beneficiary should carrty to the US POE when entering for the first time.

Every post I have seen is that all the documents are supposed to be in that large envelope. The Embassy/Consulate will return most document originals that you brought at the time of the interview that they might have requested to see such as Birth Certificate, Divorce Decree, etc.

Naturalization N-400
