I'm looking for ideas! I've read the tips on the USCIS site, but I'd like to see pics of ones that have actually been assembled and submitted(and approved, ideally!)!

I didn't take a picture, but mine was in a page accordion style folder.. They don't care about presentation, just the content inside. Follow the checklist, sign each line, and be prepared to wait.. This is a long process.

Good Luck!

1 idea, but, they don't care about presentation. Just make sure you have all the documents, and completely filled without blanks and signed

I can agree with this. Making sure your documents are complete according to the instructions is the most important thing. Make sure to check them several times before sending them out.

If you really want to be picky, and I think you do (I did), you want to use those black and silver clips for gathering different portions of the packet together. Also, order your documents and groupings of docs in order, the same order they are listed on your cover letter. Then double hole punch everything at the top. The clips and the hole punching are things they suggest you do to help them out.

I did all this, and used post-its to label everything clearly, although some people frown on post-its because they can fall off. In any case, make it clear, organized, and obvious. I have no earthly idea if it made a difference, but I felt my package was prepared really well, and my petition was approved very very quickly.

Hahahahahaha wow 30 pages long!!!

Well, it's recommended to keep it short and to the point (meaning that don't be explaining the smallest detail of the relationship...for that that's the interview if they consider it necessary) but don't be writing now we met and now we are engaged ahahahaha jk.

We based our story with dates when we met, when we were traveling back and forth, engagement,...

Best of luck!

Please keep in mind that unless you are front loading for a particular reason (high fraud consulate/issue in personal history where a denial is likely), there is no need to barrage USCIS with crazy amounts of evidence. Your package is on someone's desk among countless others, and they have only so much desired time (to go through them. Tbh, the service center/approval process is the easy part, so I wouldn't go too OTT. Of course, make your point, but keep it simple.

There was a member here who previously processed apps for 'love bunnies' (marriage/fiance visas) for USCIS...and although I cannot remember his name, he posted in great detail what it was like to process the apps, and what they are looking for. Perhaps another old timer with a better memory will recall his name. I think it started with an H.

I don't have pictures, but mine was simple. papers that belonged together were paperclipped together, things that were photocopied that highlighter on what was relevant, the photos of us were in a small ziplock bag, and then I bulldog clipped it all together. Into the USPS envelope it went. No dividers, nothing fancy. USCIS are just going to take it apart and put it in the file the way they want.
