Hello,

I am confused in this whole process and wanted to know if anyone is going through the same thing.

Heres the situation:

Im 18, he just turned 18, we have a child together, and heres the biggie, he was brought her at 6 months illegally by his parents.

I am trying to do things the right way, the legal way, by making him a citizen and living in the states insted of us all living in mexico.

Is anyone in a similar situation? anything can help calm stress!

Thanx

Start with the guides. Citizenship is way down the road. The first step is to get him in the US legally. How old is he now and where is he now. If he left, how old was he then?

He entered illegally, he is now 18 and I am guessing still lives in the US. I think, help me out someone (just bob?), that if he leaves the country prior to turning 18 and 1/2 he is ok since he was considered a minor during his illegal stay. If this is confirmed then the best thing to do is marry and have him leave or have him leave and file a fiance visa. Also be aware that if at anytime he claimed to be a US citizen he may be facing a lifetime ban with no hope of a waiver.

A few more details would help us help you.

okay, with the research that i have done i know he wont get the 10 year bar because he was under 18 for his stay here as of right now he is 18 and 3days, i dont know if he has to leave rite now or does he have some months here.

he came here as a 6 month old with his mother as she was trying to get out of the horrible city she lived in mexico, he has never and will never have a fake social # because i know the conciquences with faking your citizenship. we currently are both in the states and have a child.

i want to do whatever i can to fix this and have our family here.

any info or advice?
