You guys should see Kung Pow - Enter The Fist - got terrible reviews when it came out and tanked abysmally, but its hilarious (if you like slapstick) and surprisingly quotable.

I saw bits and pieces. Steve Oedekerk was producing an animated film, Barnyard, that should be coming out sometime - a lot of my former classmates were working with him on it. Should be funny.

Yeah that Kung pow was funny, so was the movie about Kung Fu and soccer, man what was the name of it?

Dodge Ball and Napoleon Dynamite yes classics for any DVD library!

Shaolin Soccer - I've not seen it, but the sequel (sort of) Kung Fu Hustle was pretty good.

Master Tang, I have walked many years and miles to find you.

How many miles... would you say... ten million?

No.... I don't think ten million..

Tell me... if you see... a Radioshack
Master Pain, it is an honor to have you come and beat random people in our town
And then he told me.... of the significance

(long pointless flashback)

It will be... significant

"Listen, and listen well. I really like the band N-Sync. My favorite member is Harpo. I think there's a Harpo. If not there should be. I will write their next hit, maybe 'A boom-boom chiky chiky boom-boom a boom-boom chiky chaka chaka cho cho.' By the way, you must beware of Betty's iron claw. They are sharp, and they hurt. And beware his song about big butts, he beats people up while he plays it!

None of you have mentioned Jack Black--that guy is nuts. Was Nacho Libre funny?

Well, I liked it but I'd say it's a hit or miss movie. Sometimes I love movies that most people hate. Maybe I have bad taste :P . I did like Napoleon Dynamite, so I also liked Nacho Libre. I never discovered how funny Jack Black was until I saw School of Rock, and then in Nacho Libre. I like how he doesn't care what he looks like on screen, he'll let himself be put into ridiculous outfits and look like an idiot, instead of trying to look glamorous like most of Hollywood. Thumbs up from me.

I think Will Ferrell is funny sometimes, but I really don't have a desire to see Talladega Nights. I'm not into Nascar or know too much about it, so it doesn't appeal to me. Maybe when it's on DVD I'll see it.

Watched it last night - hilarious! Along the same lines as Anchorman - only wished Will Ferrell could have brought back more of his supporting cast, especially Steve Carell (Brick in Anchorman).

talladega_poster.jpg

Well, you've sealed it. I was tricked into Anchorman and I'm not going to make that mistake again.

Same here. I think I laughed once or twice in Anchorman.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Jack Black is hilarious but Nacho Libre looks stupid to me. I am not a fan of Napoleon but my kids quote it all the time.

I am shocked that people did not find Anchorman funny, I actually laughed until I was in tears. Still do each time.

Veronica, I would like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party. The party… with pants.

Brick, are you saying that there's a party in your pants and I'm invited? No Brick, I don't want to come to a party in your pants.

How about you Dave, would you like to come to a party in my pants?

No.

All right then.

Me too. It's one of the few movies I can watch over and over again. :star:

I found this info on Will Ferrell:

Will Ferrell was the winner in the category "FUNNIEST MALE PERFORMER IN A TELEVISION SPECIAL" at the 15th annual American Comedy Awards. He beat out the likes of Billy Crystal, Gary Shandling and Jon Stewart for the award. He was honored for his work on the network special "Saturday Night Live Presidential Bash 2000."

His acceptance speech was one of the funnier ones of the night as he was delayed from speaking at the microphone with a mouth full of food. When he was finished chewing, he said that he wanted to share the award with Darrell Hammond for his portrayals of Al Gore and Bill Clinton. He thanked everyone who worked at Saturday Night Live, including "Lonnie" Michaels.

He finished by thanking his wife because she had "a sweet little a$$."
