Will Farrell pokes fun of a certain demographic of Americans...if you fall into that category, you'll probably not like it unless you can laugh at yourself. ;)

It's not the humor that bothers me... it's Will Farrell himself!!! He just looks like a complete idiot and I can't stand him. I didn't like him in SNL, and I haven't liked any of his movies. Just like Ben Stiller... he's another one I just don't find humorous.

There was someone else I didn't like for a long time, especially in his earlier movies, but grew to like, and that is Jim Carrey!!!

Guess you could say I'm not a big fan of "slap-stick". And yes... I dont' like the Three Stooges either!!! :o

Holy Cow, Robert! What comedians do you find funny?

Me too! I have it on DVD. From what I've read, a lot of the lines were improvised which makes the humor fresh!

Hmmm...

Eddie Murphey, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Jack Burns, Billy Crystal... just to name a few!!!

I tend to like the "old school" comedians I guess! ;)

So are you sayin that that's the only reason why one would not like WF?

I meant in this movie... (Will Ferrell produced and wrote the script)

NASCAR dad (NAS.kar dad) n. A white, working class father. Oops...let me add that it has evolved to define a certain demographic (men and women) and the movie pokes fun of that type of demographic. You gotta watch it to see what I'm talking about.

Ron Burgundy: Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diago, which of course in German means a whale's #######.

Veronica Corningstone: No, there's no way that's correct.

Ron Burgundy: I'm sorry, I was trying to impress you. I don't know what it means. I'll be honest, I don't think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.

Veronica Corningstone: Doesn't it mean Saint Diego?

Ron Burgundy: No. No.

Veronica Corningstone: No, that's what it means. Really.

Ron Burgundy: Agree to disagree.

I find Will Ferrell way more funnier than Adam Sandler. But Jim Carrey man is he hilarious. But I enjoyed Anchor Man and that Soccer movie he made that nobody watched.

None of you have mentioned Jack Black--that guy is nuts. Was Nacho Libre funny?

I love Jim Carrey also. One of my favorite films was Cable Guy - he should've been nominated for an oscar for that.

Haven't yet seen Nacho Libre, but someone said if you liked Napoleon Dynamite, it's the same type of humor. Jack Black has a great presence on screen - that he's so comfortable to be unapologetically himself without coming across as arrogant.
