I just wondered if, upon approval, you were tied to a specified port of entry when you enter the US? Or if once you have your Visa you can enter the US by any port of your choosing?

Any POE you want :)

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

If you are flying in you are unlikely to have a problem - they will be able to process you there. If you are driving in from Canada, I would call the POE you anticipate using and verifying first that they will process a K-1 visa. I actually made a visit to the POE we hoped to use the week before we left to verify a) they would process the K-1 B) I had all of the necessary documents for my belongings, etc. I was reassured that this smaller POE would be able to do the K-1. When we arrived, however, a different officer was on duty and she refused to do the K-1. We ended up having to drive another 1 1/2 to the next POE which was bigger. They did process us - and then added salt to our wounds by telling us that the other POE could have processed the K-1 if they wanted to, and wondering why they refused. Good luck with your journey - I hope it is smooth and trouble free.
