How long does it take for wife to adjust to US Time

Just wondering how long it took your wifey to adjust to US time...

It's about 5 days in now and she's still sleeping a lot during the day.

Tell your wife to avoid taking naps during the day it will help with the transition.

There's also sleeping aids at the health store that you can buy I think its called melatonin.

Exercising will help also and sun exposure.

Its better sometimes to try and force yourself to stay awake during the day to get into the correct cycle.

Agreed. I've done this on both my trips across the International Date Line, and it worked well for me. It was a struggle to stay awake until normal bedtime at my destination, but after that, it was cake!

Yes, Charlie, sunlight helps to reset your body's sleep and wake cycles too. But here in AZ, that is a big no especially at summertime where it's very hot outside even in the early morning? Pam might pass out! Hot shower and warm milk before going to bed will help also.

it takes me no time at all. for international flights, i fly with two watches and adjust one to my destination's local time. i force myself to sleep on the plane and to wake up. no problem for me.

Today has been a week for Wilma being in the States and she hasn't really adjusted yet. She sleeps late and naps in the afternoon. I think she's napping right now because she isn't online. She stays up late chatting with her family and that doesn't really help her adjust to a normal time here. But I know chatting with her mom helps her not be so homesick.

hello guys! i am pilipina who just new here in united states.. and to be honest, its hard to adjust here,specially there were many things we need to be adjust,sleeping time, foods, culture,and many others..all i can say to you is to understand your wife,wait until the time that your wife can adjust herself without you saying to do that and this. i am about 6 months here in US and i am aware of the things i have to do without my husband say and teach about learning their culture,and her i am doing it for myself.
