Aff. of Support Question

Hello all, I just recently graduated from college and because of my hectic schedule I only worked part time last year. But with my savings and family support I was able to keep my head above water. Since June I have gained full-time employment that puts me way above the income guideline for a family of four, my two kids and husband in Morocco. So my question is this do I ask my employer to submit a verification letter stating how much I make and length of employment or should I prepare to seek a co-sponsor? Thank You in advance.

Yes you will still need a letter from your employer.

Stating when you began working for the company, that you are employed full time, and how much you make anually. This letter is your proof of employment and shows that you can support your immediate family and fiance(e).

You can also send along a few of your pay stubs to support the letter.

If anyone else can offer up any more advice please do so.

Depends on timing? If you fill out the AOS form this year, and your income tax return for 2005 shows below poverty line, you may need a co-sponsor. But if the AOS form is required in 2007, and you've earned decent money in the second half of this year, you may not need one. I'm guessing. Anybody else?

I think you will be fine even if the tax statement showed you made below the poverty line.

You only have to show proof that you can support your fiance and anyone else living with you.

I say this because you are now working full time and making way above the poverty line and able to support your family of 4 or more.

Along with your employer's letter showing your annual earnings and some of your current pay stubs is enough proof that you can support your fiance and the rest of your household.
