Hi guys and gals.

I'm just having a look around the AOS forum in case our waiver is approved for our K-1 visa.

I have a question

We will be filing in Indianapolis for AOS and from what I have read on here and noticed, Indianapolis seems to do the AOS interview within about 4 months. I was just wondering why you would need to file for EAD and AP if the AOS interview was only taking that amount of time. It sure doesn't seem to make sense to file for all of these and pay the money if it is that quick. Wouldn't you get your 2 year greencard and be able to travel once you have your AOS and are approved?

Anyone from Indy have any comments?

Hope I'm not confused and made a complete fool out of myself.

Thanks,

Baileyj

Well that might work if you don't get stuck in namecheck hell at your interview.

Wes had his interview less than 4 months after we filed. We still don't have his greencard.

And no you haven't made a fool out of yourself.....lol

Yeah that figures. Your damed if you do and damed if you don't. There are a few timelines from Indy and all have only taken 4 months or so but I'm sure WE would be the ones who wouldn't get through that fast. It was just a thought to save some money. Oh well I should have known better .

Guess it's all a ####### shoot so it depends on how lucky you feel.

Thanks,

Baileyj

Yeah it is. We only applied for the AP in case Wes needed to rush home due to his brother having a medical emergency or something like that. I think Stacy and Paul only filed for the EAD.
