I'm just about to send off my I-751 file and curious as to which picture they actually use on the GC. I've read that it's the one sent with the original submission, but then others say it's the one you take to biometrics, then others say it's the one they take of you at biometirics. I looked dog rough on my GC and don't want to look so bad on the next one...no comments please -- I'll do the jokes ;) So....who got wot?

(I know this is probably a moot point seeing the GC will be taken from me once I go through citizenship  )

Look at your greencard again. The picture they use is the one they take at the biometrics - don't you remember standing next to the wall and them taking your picture? They actually showed the picture to my wife (on the computer monitor) and she said it was ok - don't know if they wanted her Ok or not! Good Luck

Yes I know that. That is why I look so rough. I have read many times that they didn't use the 'official' biometrics picture for the 10 year card and used one of the pics either sent in or handed over at biometrics, which is why I'm asking the question. Look at my post again :bonk:;)

The picture on my green card was one I had submitted.....but that was 1.5 years ago, so take that as you will :)

The picture taken during my EAD appointment was only used for my EAD card.

It was the one I had submitted on my card too, but also a year ago

Bob, don't you mean they put "your wife's" picture on there? As she is the GC holder, not you as the petitioner.

Do they put the petitioner's picture on the GC too?

We are not that far yet, so I really don't know.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Tmma, come on hon...you know who Bobkatz really is....there are holes all over 'his' story

Bob doesn't seem to remember if he's the petitoner or beneficiary.

B&K had 'a row'

Bob supposedly got his greencard 'last year' (read above) but the timeline says 2003

but the FUNNIEST bit of all is that someone apparantly overlooked that there's Washington DC and Washington state.....DC would file in Vermont...not Nebraska where Bob or his missus supposedly filed...and

His local time on here is set to Central time which neither covers DC time (Eastern) nor Washington State (Pacific) time...but it DOES cover Oklahoma

Interesting!

You have to send in new pics with your I-751, and that's the pic they use -- at least that's what they used for my husband. We just got his ten year card earlier this month. I forgot to submit the pics with our I-751 package but we turned them in later, via infopass, after they approved the removal of conditions. We got the card a couple months after the infopass appointment and the picture is the one we gave them.

mid-March 2006 -- filed I-751, forgot passport photos

early June 2006 -- I-751 approved

mid-June 2006 -- infopass appointment, got passport stamped, brought passport photos as requested

mid-August 2006 -- got ten year card in the mail

"When all else fails, read the instructions."

Thanks to the two who have got their 10yr card and gave the clear answer I needed  It generally looks like they use the submitted picture (judging by the answers here and what I've read elsewhere). I'll have to wait and see if mine follows suit

Well, in a case I know the request for removal for conditions was sent in, complete with the photos requested.

Then the letter came saying "approved, take yourself to your local office and bring this, this and that PLUS photos, so that your GC can be processed".

So, approved without interview, but the photos had to be resubmitted. Seems to me a small price to pay for not having to go through the hassle of another interview.

This was in California at the beginning of this year.

Thanks, Sweetgirl! Yeh they sure do like to collect piccies of us all. A creative dartboard, perhaps? I have the pics ready for the biometrics. When you had the infopass/biometrics did they take yet another pic with their machine like they do for the 2yr card? I wanna know if I have to slap on the make up again ;)
