Hi everyone ... I am an American living in the Philippines with my Filipina wife. We have been married for a little more than 2 years now. We own a house here and I am staying in the Philippines on a Philippines Permanent Resident Visa (13a).

I was told that since we are both living in the PI and I am a permanent resident here, I can file an IR-1 Imigrant Visa for my wife using the Direct Consular Filing (DCF) at the US Embassy in Manila.

I understand that initially I need to submit the completed Form I-130 and bring it to the Embassy with the required registration fee.

My question concerns filing out this I-130 form. If you look at the completed I-130 example provided by "VisaJourney" in the link below, you will see that the husband (petitioner) and the foreign wife (relative) have the same last name (Smith) on the I-130. I think this is incorrect. I think the wife (relative) needs to show her maiden name in box C-1 before she was married to Mr. Smith.

Am I correct? I don't want to fill this form out wrong and then have it disapproved in Manila.

Is this the only form I need to worry about when initially applying for my wife? I understand that I will need to supply a copy of forms G-325A, DS-230, and I-864. Are these forms submitted at a later date?

Thank's so much for any help. (The US Embassy website in Manila don't give any good info about this DCF filing)
