Ive found the form to fill out *I think* This one? Form C1

but what evidence to send in? Its confusing the hell out of me. My passport expired in May last year and im planning on going back to the UK for a few weeks in december.

Anyone know what documents i need to send to the passport office here? Also when travelling to the UK do i need to take my greencard with me?

Don't know if the Brits are different, but we Krauts have to renew our passport in person at the Embassy. In order to do this we have to show legal presence, i.e., our Green Card. Without a GC we would only receive "travel papers" but no new passport.

You can leave the US without your Green Card. You only need it if you decide to come back.
