Hi,

I received a "congratulations" letter form the location where we went for the finger prints processing in Ohio. The letter was sent saying congragts.... and welcome.... you will be receiving yout greencard within 90 days. Its now May 7th and still no green card. The funny thing is when I call the service line, and entered the WAC number, the system still says we received your request to remove ... back in Jan 2010. A letter was sent on how we will process your pending case....

So... is the system on there end not updated even though I got a congratulations letter??

I am just wondering what could be happening??

Thanks

Thanks ! so from what it looks like all is good?? Seems like months that the system is not been updated. Ny friend pretty much had the same schedule and bio-metrics location as ours except 2 days difference, she got her conrats letter and greencard same time like 3 weeks later.

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

You didn't say exactly when you got the letter, but I assume a bit of time has passed.

Telephone your service center, or get an infopass if that fails.

Don't depend on electronic updates because someone has to manually send them.

If that wasn't so, it would be a very strange "automated" system.

Online updates and current status is not necessarily correct. If the letter is dated 3/16 and no GC yet, you should wait 90 days but I would try and call USCIS and see why you haven't received your card yet...

Mistake.... 60 days sorry

you should contact USCIS and inform them that you haven't received your card yet - you might have to file I-90 and I think the fee is waived but call and ask about that... you can also schedule an infopass and see if you can get better information.

You did not mention when you received the congratulations letter. In other words how long has it been since you received the letter?

Only US Citizens can obtain a US passport. A greencard, even a 10-year greencard doesn't make you a citizen. You (or your wife, whoever the Immigrant is) will have to go through the Naturalisation process before you can apply for a US passport.

Congratulations on the greencard!!!
