I don't know if you guys remember but my case got transferred from CSC to local office. I finally had to get the senators office involved. USCIS never would respond to them yet anytime they sent a request to check on it USCIS would touch the case. Well, finally received notice of INTERVIEW from them this weekend. :blink: I have a question, can you request another location to be interviewed at? The reason why is because the only one in my state is 6 hours from where I live. However, there is one in a neighboring state that is only 2 hours from me.

@ naijabound as far as you have your EAD ,nothing to worry about , you will have your Green Card soon , hang on there, it could be this month. :)

Wish you guys to have it soon. :)

APPROVED!!! APPROOOOOVED!!! Finally!! :D:dance::D

FINALLY!!! Green card approved. :dance:

Wahoo! Congrats, you guys, on the GCs! Excellent!

Our case was transferred back to the local office, waiting for the medical file to link up, I suppose. I'm not too fretty about it, because as long as Ewan can work and start University, we don't really NEED the GC immediately. After another month or two, though, I'm sure I'll have a different tune to sing about it...

Bogartnoir, call uscis if you have not already...

I called today for like the 5th time since my aos ( not all for the same reason lol) and they told me i was outside processing times. So they did a service request to CSC and they have 30 days to update my case status and get in touch with me.

i even quoted to the guy on the phone " transfered for faster processing" it literally does say that on my notice of action i-797c....ya right my butt its faster processing! lol. bad enough it took 4 Fracking months to get a bio appointment. i swear..us immigration hates me. Been dealing with this since december 2008. I cannot wait for naturalization so i can say stfu to them rofl :)

Just dropping by to see how all the May Filers are, see how life is progressing etc.

We're getting ready to decorate the Christmas tree, our kiddo is all excited and had a great time with Santa and the snow. Life is good and we're happy our journey is over, at least until the citizenship application.

Take care all :)

Well, we had our interview today. We drove six hours. Had to rent a hotel room, rent a car, etc and we spent like 10 minutes with the immigration officer. :unsure: While she was very nice she didn't hardly ask any of the questions I have read on here. We had to take a oath. Then she asked my husband to state his name, dob, address. The same from me. She asked for our marriage certificate, birth certificates. She asked how we met, if we had anything together like a lease, bank statement. Then we offered her our pics, she looked through them and asked who certain people were. After that she made a copy of our lease and bank statement and asked if we had any questions and told us she would finish reviewing our file and would receive a decision within 30 days. My question is I thought they told you right then if you were approved or denied. Anyone experienced this?

Sounds like your case is pretty much cut and dried and you'll hear within 30 day the good news of WELCOME TO THE USA. Our interview was pretty much non existent, we went in, did the oath and he asked for my passport and that was that really, oh and a few from the from, took about 1 minute hahahaha. The rest of the time he and my husband sat and talked about work. I think your interviewer had all the info from your application and really was just putting on a show, as I said I think it's pretty much cut and dried that you'll have your Green Card shortly. Chin up!!
