Hi Everyone!

First of all congrats to all of you who got their Greencard!

I just received the email that card production is ordered. Wohoo!

We are so happy!

I just have a question though:

We are leaving on the 23rd to visit my family and friends + having our church wedding in Germany.

I have my Advance Parole. But a few weeks ago I read in this thread, that the AP was taken away from someone at the interview and as far as I remember someone said, that after the Greencard is approved the AP is not valid anymore.

Is that true? What if I don't have the Greencard by the time we're leaving, can I still use my AP?

Sorry, if someone has written this before, but I haven't been able to read the thread lately since my laptop is broken.

I would appreciate it so much! I am happy but worried at the same time right now!

Another question: How long did it take for you to receive the Greencard after you got the Email?

Did it take the full 30 days mentioned in the Email?

Well, regarding the trip you may wanna make sure before you go out the country...

When I was at the interview, the officer told me not to use AP since my GC was approved.

If I wanted to travel overseas before I receive GC which he was totally against that I do, I have to make infoPass Appointment. I guess AP loses its authority after GC is already approved...

Hello everyone. I have a question. I just got a email that they transferred my husbands case to the memphis office for processing. It has been at the California office since July. Anyone know why they do this. Are they going to call us for a interview now or something?

Initial Review

On September 8, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our MEMPHIS, TN location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators

Woohooo!!! Congrats!! Another May filer.

You should receive your card before 23rd. I received mine in 7days. You'll surely receive it. You can call USCIS to confirm. I called to ask about my GC on the day it was approved. I asked if it could be expedited, lo and behold it was approved. Just give it a trial.

I wonder if CSC is trying to get rid of some cases for now, lol. Ours got transferred to memphis, possibly for a interview. Another friend of mine got a notice just the other day that they are getting another RFE after the fact that they got one before it went to CSC and took care of it then. :bonk:

I feel angry for you, it took them this long to let you know, what the heck are they doing, sitting with their thumb up their butt may be :angry: hugs to you, keep strong and remain calm lol, easier said than done eh?!

So I logged on today & randomly we have a touch! For the first time since July. Now I'm all worried it will be an RFE...I can't believe after this long they are just getting around to asking for whatever they want from you that_girl! I will be interested to see what it's for - hope it's easily remedied.
