Sorry, I did not have time to read here the past 2 weeks, cause my family came for our wedding reception.

So Congratulations to all of you who got their EAD's, AP's or GC's.

I'm happy to say, that we finally got our AP on Saturday and our EAD today *yay*!!!

Hopefully the GC doesn't take too much longer either!

I'm so frustrated with this SS issue.

I went to the SS office for the 3rd time on Monday 2nd Aug. because i received my EAD on the 30th of July. The officer was very polite. He said my I94 has expired and he'll need to get some info from USCIS. He asked me to call back on Friday (today)that he'll be able to give me the response from USCIS. I called the office today and after 35 mins they said i have to wait for the GC which they've not even approved. Now i have to sit at home again. So it means the EAD is useless afterall. MVA said they cant issue drivers license without SSN. I'm so frustrated. And i cant even go back home. I'm sick and tired of this system.

That really sucks. We feel your pain. We actually signed up for a SS card the week after hubby arrived. So I guess you can get one before I-94 expires. Strange, I'm surprised you couldnt show them your I797 (which says GC is applied for). We had to show it for the drivers license (but along with SS). Anyway, I think your GC is around the corner, it seems those that applied early May are starting to get them. Hang in there!

I find this very strange , I see that I live close to where you are , I went into SS this am , they processed my form , just wanted to see my EAD card and passport. Five minutes later they said all is fine and that my SS Card will be mailed to me in next 7-14 days. Maybe you should try a different SS office as I think the one you tried has no idea, I received my EAD card yesterday and they accepted it , Good Luck to you

Card production ordered today, and AP is in "Post-Decision Activity!" Our interview is on August 16. Things are moving!

I dont think there has been any approval on GC sent after 4th of May(for cases that were transferred to CSC). i observed this from VJers timelines. If this is true, i hope there'll be lots of approval this week.

I have noticed this too. So much for "faster processing" by being transferred.
