Check cashed this morning....

I know the email told me not to check case status online until getting the paper NOA1s, but I couldn't help it, and it keeps telling me that the case numbers don't exist. Did anyone else have that?

I tried using the number on the back of the canceled check, like with the K-1...told me it couldn't be found either. Maybe it just takes them a little longer to get it in the system. I'm hoping for the paper NOA today or tomorrow!

Katie,

Congradulations, we received ours too on Monday, we're waiting for biometrics letter now. I'm wondering about trying to get a walk in appointment and posted a question the VJ but didn't receive any answers. From what I have read it's mixed feelings, some people have had success with a walking appointment and I have read other posts stating that some offices don't allow walk in appointments. If someone reads this and has information about their biometrics appointment I'd love to hear about it. I guess we will be going to the office in Los Angeles.

Yeah, I've seen the same mixed things, as well. I'd recommend calling your local office to ask if they allow walk-ins before heading down there.

I've been thinking about doing walk-in too but being hesitated with the thought that they wouldn't allow it. You are right, some are successful with the walk-in and some are not. I'm trying to find the ASC Michigan City, IN office number to inquire but i couldn't find it. innocent.gif

Hi Cappuccino Boy,

where in LA are you? I think someone from our forum (March filers) walked-in no problem in the Van Nuys office. I think it's Alex&Astrid, you should ask her! But Van Nuys might be far from you-depends on where you live. I know all this because I keep an eye on CA filers being in Sna Diego myself:)

Hi Vivi6,

We really aren't in Los Angeles but in Pasadena, Van Nuys is reachable but if there is one in Van Nuys then L.A. must have an office and L.A. is closer than Van Nuys so we would go there. I know that Alex and Astrid are somewhere out there in Van Nuys too so if they see this perhaps they will mmake a comment. I was dating someone down there in S.D. at one time near San Diego State, but it didn't work out. Pity I like San Diego but I would have had to find another job.

How is your application process going?
