Hi, my husband and I also applied in May. May 13th. Our last toach was in June 4th. We didn't get nothing which it was very very frustrating, but on Monday we got our appt letter. AUGUST 12 YAY!!! The uscis website still hasn't updated anything since june 4th so for any one still waiting maybe your appt letter will be sooner than you think. Good luck to everybody.

Hi there, I haven't had an update on my GC since my biometrics back in May and like you have my interview letter too. I guess it's just USCIS that's not too good at updating things.

Wishing you all the best for your interview :)

I think it is very normal. Our EAD has been touched twice since it was approved on Monday. I think that is just the process of moving to the point where they issue the card. It would seem simple - you're approved, card issued. But apparently, it's much more complicated than that.

May 7, 2009 - 129F submitted

April 6, 2010 - Visa Delivered/POE (Peace Bridge)

April 23, 2010 - Civil Ceremony

May 1, 2010 - AOS/EAD Application submitted

July 12, 2010 - EAD Approved (Card Production Email #1 at 4:02 pm)

July 26, 2010 - EAD RECEIVED

August 5, 2010 - GREEN CARD APPROVED!!

August 21, 2010 - Green card arrives

November 13, 2010 - Catholic ceremony

July 2, 2012 - ROC submitted to VSC

August 21, 2012 - Biometrics

February 27, 2013 - ROC Approved

Only one more step to go!

Yeah I guess I just don't get it, but oh well, it's the most touches I've had since I started this journey hahaha.

Does anyone know when I should receive my AP, they said it was sent out on Friday, but still nothing in the mail.

We got our second card production notice for the EAD this morning. I seem to recall somebody told me there were multiple notices before they issued the card, but I don't remember where I read that.

Can't offer any help on AP. We didn't file one because we didn't think we would need it. Now, it turns out we'll be filing one tomorrow morning because his family is throwing a party for us on September 11 in Ontario. I don't want to put absolute faith that we will have a green card by then, so now two months after the fact, we are filing an AP that hopefully we will not need. Crazy how this works.

Hi ! jmd77,

I think Applying late AP is not a good idea, First you don't know ,when it Gonna be approved, Second if you file late not with Form I -485 AOS, i mean not on the same date of Filing ,you have to be paid the Amount Occur on that Form, Just thought i could let you Know before you do, but of course IT's Up to you? your Throwing Party is September 11, As I looked on into your filing date regarding on time frame of Normal Processing to Approved EAD is 3 Months & AOS is 4 Months ,which is your in good shape, before 11 of Sept, you might have your EAD & GC before that Date, Study it Carefully before you do it, But note ,Final Decission is always yours. Good Luck may we all have a great weekend. :)

Hey, you could do an infopass appointment to see about the AP, they might be able to tell you if it's possible or even worth it. They might be able to tell you what is going on with your case too.

Good Luck :)

I will give a little more thought to the AP, but I thought it best to at least ask for it.

It does not require paying a fee, because the instructions say you do not need the fee so long as you filed your AOS. It says if we are filing AP at a different time, we just have to include a copy of our NOA1 showing the AOS was filed/accepted/paid.

My thought was we may not need it, but since it does not require a filing fee, I thought it wiser to ask for it as a precaution. If we get into a timing snag, we can make an infopass appointment to say (1) we thought we would have the green card, (2) when the timing made us unsure, we filed for AP with plenty of notice as soon as we knew about the party, and (3) can you tell us why it is September and we still don't have them?

We filed for it when we sent in the intial packet. Not really thinking we would need it, but there was no cost when filed with the other documents and we figured if we didn't file for it, somethign would happend and there would be some emergency at home where he would need to leave the country. Better to be safe and have it than sorry... We just got approved for it, and even though we don't need it, we might actually use it and take a trip back to see his family. He's a little homesick and since he can travel we might just go ahead and use it.

We're almost on the same time line for the AOS, just a day difference, so that's cool.

Wishing you guys the best of luck :)
