Great news on the touch Katie...its something, right?

I'm assuming it's just like "hey we got your biometrics!" But we got all excited none the less, haha. Just thought it was weird to get a text! And no text for the EAD application, which was also touched today. Random.

I haven't been there before so can't speak to how it normally is. They were pretty busy today though - there were probably 10 to 12 people in front of us and another 7 or 8 came in while we were waiting. Only 2 people taking biometrics, but one had something more complicated going on - she had to keep going back to another office to do something.

So...after saying the other day that you don't get texts/emails for touches, we got a text for a touch today. No update on the website except the date changed, so that's kind of random.

10-12 people? Dude, when we went, there were at least 30 people in line in front of Ewan! But then, it's Miami... I had to wait outside because there wasn't enough room in the giant waiting room for me, too. We got a touch right after our biometrics, too. I'm not signed up for texts (just emails), though. Good that they're getting it in before the holiday, though, eh?

That's great! Start preparing the things you need to take with you, it has taken my husband and I a couple of weeks to get our stuff ready and we're glad we started when we did as we need his daughters birth certificate from overseas.

Good Luck with your interview :)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to join a little late if you don't mind! Glad to have found this forum and wait with you all!

You can see our timeline in my signature. I have a few questions, hopefully someone can answer for us!

1-Our case was transferred to the California Service Center. However, we've yet to receive a notice that the case was received (we've only got the notice it was transferred). I've seen in others timelines that they were alerted that it was also received. This worries me as its been 19 days seen we received that notice that it was transferred, and it was our last communication. Should we worry that this is lost or a big delay?

2-All these 'touches'. We haven't received one (which I presume would be emailed to us [yes we did sign up for that feature]). Does that mean the case hasn't been looked at at all?

My husband just completed a second job interview at an organization he really wants to work for and things look good. We're both unemployed so this would be the answer to our prayers if it works out. However, receiving the EAD in good time is stressing us out majorly right now.

Wishing everyone all the best! Thanks in advance!

Jessica

Hi.. I am trying to get caught up on lots of missed posts, so someone may have already responded. Forgive me if you've already gotten some answers ( I am sure I will find them when I get to the next few pages).

We were transferred to CSC as well. Got a letter stating we were transferred.. never got anything after that and we are signed up for texts. The web page has not been updated either. I was a little concerned about that, but it seems we are not the only ones.

My only concern now is that I am seeing other people with similar time lines,or after us, who are getting the EAD, and we have not heard anythign or had any updates on anything. Guess you just have to sit back and wait. I wouldn't worry too much.

If anyone has any different news I would like to hear it.. I know we are not the only ones out there who have been transferred and then heard absolutely nothing.

From everything I have read if your card is in "Production" it is your green card and not the EAD.. but I could be wrong on that one.

Hi! Jenn and fuat,

Thanks to your Response, The reason I am confused if that is only my EAD because that Same Date, My Form I-485 has been updated to my Portfolio in USCIS.GOV at Noon & at Evening Time I Recieved A Text Update on My Phone, My EAD has been Approved, I recieved that Production or Oath Ceremony in my E-mail address, the USCIS E-mailed me. but the moment I re'd It, It mention on the second paragraph, Production such as GC, that's why I am so Curious, Well maybe the Answer to my curiosity Is on the Mail, I'll wait to that Mail and Let every One know , wether It is MY EAD Only or with My Green Card, I'll be more Happy if i get both of them, Because I did not do Interview or either the word Transfer like some of our co- AOS Filers Experiencing, but rather i recieved 2 times Request for Evidence, which lead to my Approval. :star::star::star:

Sounds to me like both have been approved. Of course, if you have the Green Card you don't need the EAD :)

Will be interested to hear what it turns out to be.. one or both.

Jessica,

I did my biometrics back in May and that was the last it was touched, it's driving me nuts but oh well, at least I know my interview is in less than 2 weeks :)

I really don't care much for the USCIS site, but it is probably the people handling the cases that are just slacking, it's annoying though that some get word all the time and others don't it seems very unfair.

Oh well whining over :)
