Hey All,

Just wondering if those of you with interview dates have it showing you at the interview stage on the USCIS website, I'm only asking this as I have it showing still at initial review stage, even with an interview date and an infopass appointment. Agh this is driving me nuts

Maybe updates depends on the person who handle the case? If he input everything or not because some cases are moving even without updates. Just guessing..:luv:

This may sound naive, because I don't really know that I understand what Chicago does, what California does, and what the local USCIS offices do, but with that as a caveat...

Will those of you with interview dates get any updates before the interview? I haven't looked at that in other timelines, so I don't really know but it seems counterintuitive to me that you would see movement until the few days before your interview date. Seems to me that they know they can't do much more with your AOS until you're sitting in front of them? Whereas those of us in California see updates because they are scannnig a barcode every time someone touches the file. Now, I don't know that's how it works, but I do know of other government agencies that track files by making employees enter file numbers or scan bar codes. My posts will lead you to believe that I think every update means that someone actually worked on our file, but realistically, I don't know that they aren't just scanning a barcode when it moves from one desk/room/shelf to another. I just assumed that wouldn't be the same for those of you with an interview date, because they know they are going to see you on a specific date.

Now the lack of movement on the EAD front is a whole different story - that I cannot pretend to comprehend. The government's ignorance of the tax revenue that our spouses could be paying by working is plainly obscene, but that's a story for another day.

People who are saying their spouses will go crazy if they don't get a paycheck soon...my husband is in the same boat! He was at that point a few weeks after arriving, so he's really starting to get antsty now. We haven't had any touches on AOS since 6/16 (when CSC received the file) or on EAD/AP since 5/19!

Trying to be patient though
