Well after a beautiful day of hiking up at Hurricane ridge in Washington, we come home to find our first RFE in the mail.

Its dated for June 9th, and not even showing a touch or update on the uscis site. ugh, I'm so sad at the moment. Its an easy fix but man I hate getting something like this on a saturday when you cant do anything to fix it until Monday.

Our RFE states as follows:

Submit a complete federal income tax return submitted to the IRS from the petitioner/sponsor on for I864, affidavit of support, for the most recent tax year.

The joint sponsor on for I864, affidavit of support must submit the ferderal income tax return submitted to the irs for the most recent tax year

Those are the only two things they asked for. I sent tax transcripts for the last two years but only had w2s for this one, but also sent 3 of the most recent pay checks, letter of employment stating how long we had been working there and how much we made per year that matched the w2s. But evidentally they want a completed fed tax return. That would mean I could send in a tax transcript instead for this recent year right?

well atleast i know what is going on with our case, and its an easy fix. Atleast for me, thing that sux is my mom is out of town for a few days and i have to wait until she gets back to get her to go to the local irs office and get her transcripts. I just hate the delay, everything was going so smooth. Oh well, all I can do is send in those two papers that they requested.....Oh does anyone know if i have to send in another full folder of all the forms? or just the tax papers they requested. I know stupid question, but when you get an rfe you start second guessing yourself. Thanks for any help.

I wish I knew the answers to your question, alas I do not, but I wish you well on your journey and I'm sorry the RFE messed your day up, keep your chin up :)

Ahh, I know the story well. You open up the mailbox and excitedly see a DHS/USCIS letter there, but see the unusual yellow paper your letter is printed on. Drat! The dreaded RFE notice!

Well, all is not lost. Just mail it with signature confirmation, and your case will be moving full speed ahead in no time!

On the road of life there are many detours, but we eventually end up where we want to be....

It's amazing that the USCIS likely spent untold thousands on that website, and it can't even give reliable updates. Close enough for Gummint work I guess.

Good Luck to you!

My patience has been starting to wear thing recently, so getting this email from the lawyer today was great, I was only at the INFOPASS office last week and whats funny is the Interview Letter was sent the same day as the appointment, I wonder if it was a coincidence or if it was already in the offing, I guess we'll never know.

I was nervous going for my Biometrics app, I don't know why, the people at the Bio centre were great and made me feel relaxed, I guess I could have gone for my appointment sooner, but didn't. I wish you the best of luck with your AOS.

Take care Junko

Yeah it's a shame that these computers programs aren't better or at least their uses trained to use and update them better, oh well.

Thanks for the Good Luck wishes, will keep everyone updated. Good Luck with yours too, wishing you all the best :)
