Hi All,

Alrighty for those of you who have recently had your medicals what is the final list of vacciations required? In my list with my P3 it says:

-Diphtheria toxoids

-Haemophilus Influenza Type B (Hib)

-Hepatitis A

-Hepatitis B

-Influenza

-Measles

-Meningococcal

-Mumps

-Pertussis

-Pneumococcal

-Polio

-Rotavirus

-Rubella

-Tetanus

-Varicella

I am missing Tetanus which I will get from my family physician this week as well as Hepatitis A. It just surprises me that Hep A is on that list as I thought it was optional. Usually Heb B is the mandatory one to have... Anyone have any input on this?

Thanks so much!!!

Panel physicians list the required vaccines here

Hep A isn't on the list at all and Hep B is not needed if you are over 18. My fiance' almost paid a huge price for the vaccines before I came to the VJ family to find out he didn't need them.

In regards to the Hepatitus A vaccination - look at the chart for age appropriate vaccinations  I don't think you will fall into the age group requiring this!

Make sure your tetanus is Tdap (Adacel) - you can't just get tetanus or in some cases a tet booster. Just be sure it's Tdap. I just got mine done woot woot sore arm for a few days but no big deal

Yeah, you're right Kim, as long as you've had a booster within the last 10 years, that's ok. At least it is for Dr. Seiden. It's not like they can go back and tell you the booster you had 6 years ago wasn't the appropriate brand, when they don't really indicate that on your vaccination record.

if you are between the ages of 18 to 64 you only need these...

Combination Vaccine for:

Tetanus Diphtheria (Td)

Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis

MMR Combination Vaccine for:

Mumps

Measles

German Measles (Rubella)

Chickenpox (Varicella)

Hepatitis B For ages 18 and under.

Influenza Age 50 and above.

Meningococcal (Menjugate) Required for children age 11 to 18 years.

http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/Age6.htm

if you don't have then I would suggest getting them done beforehand.. as they will charge extra to get them done at the medical...

Well dr. seiden said because they are an immigration doctor he could'nt give any and if he did it would cost a fortune. Medysis i think can.

I went to my dr. got the boosters, got a signed sheet from them faxed it to Seiden and they released my medical to me.

Hey everyone! I was just wondering, where do you get proof that you've gotten these vaccines? I have little pieces of paper for most of them that the doctors gave my mom when I got them, does that count? Lol, also, I had chickenpox as a kid, is declaring that enough proof and showing my spots? Lol

Thank you :)

I have my medical tomorrow. I heard the vaccination booklet is enough to bring to the examination. (carnet de santé). I called the CLSC and had an appointment the day after, didn't cost me anything to have the tetanos vaccin. I think at Medisys it cost something to have the vaccin. I suggest you to called the CLSC where you are and get them done before going to the medical! I'll write a review of my medical tomorrow or in 2 days!
