Misprinted alien Number on my I -485

does that mean I should just go for the WALK-IN biometrics and ask them to overwrite the incorrect Alien number ?

WHEN you go in check to see if it's been changed on the system. That's whether you try and walk-in or the normal appointment time.

If it's wrong, ask about having it changed but have PROOF of the real number such as your NOA2 from the fiancee visa, or anything else that has it printed correctly. They might NOT change it, but it can't hurt to ask. It shouldn't affect you having your biometrics done as it's done on the information they have and that information can be changed/corrected.

I am trying walk -in at a different location (through a INFOPASS)than the one allocated to me on appointment letter. If they allow me to get my Fingerprints done, then its fine otherwise I will wait for the Mail from USCIS stating that they have corrected the Alien number (as I have put in 2 service requests for gettting the alien number changed in their system) and take it to "Allotted" ASC on the "Allotted" date (which is about two weeks from now) in a hope that USCIS would definitely correct it by then.

But anyways thanx for all ur help so far in this case... I will always welcome any other suggestions from ur side, since I know u have a wealth of knowledge by Your own & other people's experience, since I am just a NAIVE.
