I made a scrap book and the consular was sold :) I saw the look on his face.

I don't know how the consulate is laid out in Jamaica, but many consulates have thick glass windows like bank tellers use, with a narrow slot at the bottom that's only about 1 inch tall. They absolutely refuse to take anything that's in a binder of any kind. I guess you could remove the pages from the binder.

I only sent about 5 photos, but I joined it with a receipt or proof of a place we had been...for example: photos of us in Philadelphia or New York City coupled with train tickets, restaurant receipts or gas receipts to show proof of the dates. I also sent a sampling of emails or cards detailing key moments in the relationship to show a progression of events. I went down the list on the I 129F and only sent a few items of each example - my final packet was nearly 1 inch thick, though. I also labeled everything and put the items in separate see-thru pockets....organized the whole thing according to my cover letter...and we were approved without any problems or RFE's. :)

Hi everyone!

Im starting to complete the checklist for my application for k1 using I-129F and i dont know how many photos me and my fiance should be included in the app.We have so many pictures from trips, travel, engagement etc. Some say 5-10, others say the more the better.Im confused. And is it ok to watermark the dates on the photos if im sending lots of pics? although i know i still need to write the date, names and location at the back of the pics. And how many letters too? Some say to provide letters from wide range dates but how many is enough to be just right? We both have a box filled with letters and cards but how many is too many???helpsmilie.gifI dont want the process to be delayed for RFE.If anyone can give me an exact number that would be very helpful.Thank's in advance!blush.gif

You will get lots of good advice here about that and many others may have equal or better approaches to this.

What I did was take about 30 - 36 digital pics and present them on a regular 8-1/2 x 11 in. plain paper on an

MS-Word document. I opened a pic in photoshop and copied it to the clipboard and then pasted it into Word.

That way I could get about 4 on a page, with my own custom captions. I printed them on a laserjet color

printer in the office. Many at home have color printers. You may want to make individual shots that you can

print cheaply for 25 cents each at CVS or wherever. If they don't already have dates, you should put the

date & caption on the back.

You can have more or less than I did. Most were of us together but others were with us and her family.

Best of luck.

"Awww you made the consular heart melt! I'll ask my fiance to bring our scrap book t0o and box filled with letters on the day of his interview!"

Be careful about the size of your scrapbook that you bring to the interview. Most Embassy windows only have about a one inch opening, so if you bring a gigantic scrapbook you'll have no way of squeezing it through the window when you present documents.

We sent about a dozen, hard copy pics of us together, and me with her and her extended family. The background was obviously from her home country, but I don't know that any one at USCIS would care. Letters of intent, etc. with original signatures were sent.

More than 12 is too many and they will reject your visa, ban your fiancee from the USA forever and send a SWAT team to your house!

There is no such thing as too many. I sent ONE photo. Less than one is not enough.

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!
