Hello,

How will I know when the I-864 AOS packet I sent is entered into the NVC system? They got it via Fed-ex last Friday, but have not heard anything on AVR about it... Right now the AVR is saying waiting for biographic forms from the petitioner which they got via Fed-ex on Tuesday... Just want to know they have the I-864 and are working on it.. Thanks!!

All I can tell you is that the NVC signed for our documents on APRIL 21st but the AVR did not say they were in the system until April 27th.

Spoke to an operator on April 26th and she told me the system is slow to update sometimes but that they had received them!

I think it is the "canned" answer everyone gets.

We should understand why....if they tell everyone 2-3 days...and it takes longer.....they will be inundated with calls.

Each situation is different...maybe some did do not include all the paperwork...maybe some do not have paperwork stapled....properly sorted/filed...maybe they do not include cover sheet....

Many reasons why it "might" be held up..

I can only comment on our journey...and what I have read on this great help site here at VJ!!!!! :D

They told us exactly the same things as most others.

In the end.......it took 24 days from NVC case number assigned...until AVR indicated case completed!!! :D:D:D

Only waiting on interview date and medical completion now.

It is hard for anyone in the situation to remain calm (I know how I am) but the best advice that can be given I think....is to allow the process to work....keep calling...checking.....monitoring.....but remain patient....it will come....even if it is the dreaded RFE....it shows the process is working!!!
