Generally speaking, how long does it take after filing for AOS/AP to receive the advanced parole approval? I have seen 60-90 days. Is it possible to get an expedited AP approved?

Based upon the timelines given on VJ for the K-1 approval process, it's starting to look like my fianceé's travel "blackout" period may fall exactly when she's supposed to serve as maid/matron-of-honor for two of her childhood friends' weddings at the end of 2010 and the start of 2011, back in Colombia of course. So far, she seems to be understanding of the possibility that this may happen, although she was surprised by it. I also had a misunderstanding of the post K-1 process until today and didn't realize that leaving short-term meant abandoning the AOS petition. And while it is by no means definite this far out that she won't have an approved AP by December (or that we'll even have the K-1 for that matter!), I feel horrible about it because she's giving up so much to come here and I might not be able to accommodate her with two simple (long-)weekend trips.

Right now, I know it's probably putting the cart before the horse because we're so early in the process (NOA1) but I'm just trying to explore and research all of our options now so that we can plan things the best way we can given so many unknowns.

Thanks for any inputs.

After approved your finacee has 6 months to travel here for the one entry with here K-1 visa. By the time you get your approval she may be able to delay her entry her until after the weddings she would like to be in and still be inside her 6 month window for the entry here.

Thanks. I guess we've been so focused on hoping the visa process would pass quickly that the thought of using the majority of the 6 months after approval never really crossed ours minds.

My AP was approved in 45 days. Expedited AP is possible, but generally only for serious health emergencies in immediate relatives.
