Hi everyone

I know that there are some things that you can take to USA .And there are some things that you can not .

Even for those things that you can take to USA there are limits for how much you can take to USA .

If i remember i guess you just can take about 10,000$ to USA .So my question now is :

What about if we want to take more than 10,000$ to USA ? Is there anything we can do ? Do we have to tell the immigrations officers at the POE ?

you can take less than 10000$ in cash and you can take the rest of what you want to take in a visa card . so you need to deposite the money in some bank acount and use them in the US via the visa debit card that you will get from the bank

I was thinking about use the credit card to get all of that money from any ATM at USA .But i guess it will cost a lot . But taking less than 10,000 in cash and get the rest by credit card yeah its good idea .

You can wire transfer your money into an account in the us.That way you dont have to travel with a large sum of money.Talk to your local bank and find out about there wire transfer options. Good Luck.....

Yeah i was thinking about that idea to .But its still going to cost some money .

Bridget is right. Ahmed first did it by Western union and it was crazy expensive. So then we did the bank transfer. It wasn't even as difficult as we thought it would be.

Ask the CBP officer for the Currency Reporting Form (FinCen 105). Might raise some eyebrows but you can do it, you just have to declare it. My hubby brought over $10.000 euros when he came. Don't know if that was related to all the problems he had at the POE but he finally was allowed in.

You are a bit mis-informed.

You can bring in as much as you can carry, but

you must declare at POE any amount over 10,000.00

There is no levy assigned at POE for this, btw. You simply fill out a form.
