Refer to post 22 for answers. Funny how my old man came to Aus with $10 and the clothes on his back yet built an empire. To this day has kept a well maintained house and always had time to take care of it and our surrounding area, even after working double shifts in a factory. As has every other immigrant in their neighborhood, thus the $1.2 mill and up price tag on their once working class homes.

I read it. Nothing you said there is "catching out BS" or "making people accountable".

What are you proposing?

Though, the US would never let you do it.

That's what the Brits thought when first faced with a Militia standing up to them. You took on Germany with your shitty technology compared to theirs; which at the time was leap years ahead. Lesson for Germany, you cannot take on the world.

All good and well to attack second and third world countries but a different ball game when you are taking on others. Funnily enough you do a piss poor job at that too.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I doubt it. We have enough actual resources to build a sub and aircraft carrier daily. Plus considering pretty-much everyone on the planet hates the US, while the world actually likes us, you'd have to take on everyone.

LoL, you talk about aircraft carriers as if they can be built in a day. Wrong. You might have the materials, but the technical capacity is another thing entirely. You seriously think Australia could withstand a U.S. invasion for more than the length of a kylie minogue song?

Have a think of Charles post to you, then come ask the question again.

If there's one thing that the US blows the rest of the world out of the water on, it's our Navy.

Our entire fleet engulfs the rest of the world's navies twofold at least. Not to mention the fact they're the most technilogical advanced as well.

You might win a land battle, you might win an air battle, but there's no way in hell anyone will win a water battle against us.

The US Navy could take any port (hell multiple ports) in Australia in a matter of hours. Shhhh, don't let them know that though.

You'd be taking on more than Australia. You'd be the Germany of WWII. Who else on this planet actually like the US? Ironically excluding Australia.

Nevertheless, while you playing out these war games scenarios in your head, this is exactly why countries like Australia are absolutely destroying the US in terms of quality of life. Thus my previous post regarding having your priorities all wrong.

The only way the Australia could withstand a U.S. invasion is if we were still had our current troop levels in the DMZ, Iraq, and Afganistan

This is unfortunately true.

No, i'm just poking a bit of fun at Australia. I'm sure if the U.S. cut it's defense spending to a proportion similar to Australia, we could pave the roads in gold and everyone would have a unicorn to ride to work or whatever fantasyland you are portraying Australia to be like today.

How are you going to pay for such a war? With more borrowed money from China.

Why is it a fantsayland because they have their priorities elsewhere and are beating you? Whether you accept it or not does not change the reality.

You know it. Print baby print. Or, we could just subcontract it out to the Phillipines.

We have sort of painted ourselves into this situation with decades of foreign policy and wars of hegemony. I don't like it persay, but we are built for the apocalypse.

No it's that the country and various groups has it priorities all wrong. For example, the thing that Americans cherish the most could not be sold to another country: US version of freedom. Freedom to us is a child being able to walk to school without being kidnapped. Being able to travel freely without the notion of a no-go zone. Whereas, freedom here is being able to flop your #### out. While industrialized countries invested in their cities and actual quality of life, the US invests in this:

Military Expenditure

and lower taxes for the wealthy. But it doesn't stop there, rather than defend your own country, people are sticking up for foreign aliens entering here illegally. That they deserve a job rather than the millions of Americans living in poverty - in ghettos and trailers. No need for an Apocalypse, with the 2010 attitude and outdated laws, the US is almost setup to self destruct.

A lot of that fear is media induced.

I'd let my kids walk to school today, the same way I walked to school as well.

It's all paranoia bullshit.

I agree. Of course, it's safe for a child to walk to school in my town.

I was having lunch with coworkers a few days ago and one guy, middle aged paranoid type who watches too much cable news, says something to the effect of, "who goes to parks anymore? just pedophiles! my kids have never been to a park."

Of course, his tirade goes unanswered because, really, who has time for that? I'm sitting there thinking about how I was at the park with my wife the day before and it was full of people. Normal people with their clothes on minding their own business  Joggers, kids throwing a ball around, couples hogging the few benches, old people just taking in the sunlight because who knows they may die tomorrow...

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
