how detailed does the border declaration form need to be at POE?

When Yvonne crossed over for the second (permanent) time this past weekend, they looked at her list of stuff, but didn't check any of the boxes in the car. Once we got away from the entry point (well well well away with the windows safely rolled up), she joked to me "Well, I guess I'm glad I didn't put the firearms and explosives on the list!" :lol:

(No, there were no firearms or explosives in the car.) :-P
